  • My original has heat shields on the sides, why don't yours have them?

The original actually has chrome covers, these are to conceal the original mild steel collector when it corrodes, they do not actually shield heat from anything.

• My original is a box design, why do you use stainless steel pipe?

A pressed box is fast and easy to make, we use stainless steel pipe as it offers superior strength and will out last any mild steel part. Most owners looking for a new collector have an original mild steel box that has failed.

• Will this fit my down pipes / headers and mufflers / silencers?

Yes, if you have an original Yamaha collector any exhaust parts you are using will fit.  We make these to the same size and position as the original where it connects, we even use identical size gaskets.
